Production
My approach to production is practical and calculated. I try to find the most efficient and effective way to tell the story. The story could be how to use a product, what a company does, or an actual story in an entertainment piece. Whatever the story is I always try to tell that story with images and not use dialogue or voiceover as a crutch or an excuse not to shoot the appropriate shots. I’m a firm believer that an audience should know what is going on in a video without needing the audio. So then of course when you actually have the dialogue, voiceover and music the video piece effectively communicates everything it was intended to. I base most of my decisions in production asking myself the question “does this effectively communicate what we want it to?” and when that is your inner-dialogue you wind up with a video piece that serves its purpose perfectly.
