The idea of being able to create a virtual space, animate cameras, lights, video, stills, and graphics is very cool freedom to have. In editing you can create your own time, and in graphic animation you can create your own spacetime. Creating slick text graphics that deliver a message is very effective. I also like pushing the limits of creative and engaging story telling as well. A client had a one minute story he wanted to tell via still images. With the intention of doing something less straight forward and having more of a wow factor I thought about the idea. Then I took some inspiration from a film called “The Kid Stays In The Picture”. I decided to make the still images three dimensional and tell the story with Adobe After Effects. Using the same storytelling concepts that a director would on a real live set, I told the story in my virtual set composing shots to direct attention while quickly and effectively telling a concise and engaging story.
